New Opportunity - Offer from Bill Smith (William Leverne Smith - Dr. Bill)!!!

New Opportunity
Offer from Bill Smith (William Leverne Smith - Dr. Bill)!!!

Do you sometimes long for the ‘good old days’ of the 1870s?

Would you have liked to live back in the 1870s?

Come back with me now to the Centennial of our nation. It is 1876.

Pa and Ma King and their 4 children are getting a fresh start after surviving the Civil War.

Oak Springs, in a valley of the southern Missouri Ozark Mountains, is slowly rebuilding after gangs and marauders of the Civil War turned the valley back to nature. Every building had been destroyed, burned to the ground. But some of those early settlers, from the 1830s and 1840s, had returned to start over again on their farms and in the town they had loved before the war.

The King family is very representative of the resilience required to start fresh on the American frontier. It took smart, hard-working people, men and women, to build a farming community where there was none. These are their stories.

Why you may want to subscribe, and become a Patron at just $1 per month:

  1. Twice weekly, curated enjoyable reading - each 1,000-1,800 words… Wed and Fridays
  2. Opportunity to comment on each story, with response from the author to each comment
  3. Free access to over 50 curated articles on The Founding (1833-1876) already available to each Patron.
