January 26, 2019, Update

January 26, 2019, Update

This week we posted a new episode, JP4, in the Jake Patton Memoirs. This series builds on earlier short stories in “The Saga” that go back into the 19th Century, to 1833, sharing the growth of the families and communities in the early days of Oak Springs through the unique viewpoint of one of the founders of the community in the Oak Creek Valley.

Each Wednesday and Friday, we are posting, for Patrons, the earliest stories from ‘The Founding’ of Oak Springs along with related stories from the early days of Oak Springs. Join us, today. By joining, you can read each and all of the past postings on ‘The Founding.’ These postings tell the earliest stories of Oak Springs and the people who lived there in the order these events occurred.

BECOME A PATRON… of our creative writing. A great New Year gift to yourself and to us here at “The Homepage Saga” series of family-related, historical fiction stories. Only a dollar a month…new material added weekly, along with the Friday posting of The Founding stories… each only available to Patrons.
Come, join us! ;-)

The Patreon program provides a curated (systemized) presentation of our stories and a single content library, over time. Can you support this effort? I’ll be spending a little more time here, as we go forward…

We also have discussions about the stories. I hope you will join us in these conversations.

I hope you continue to enjoy these stories. If you do, leave a note, here or elsewhere…

Enjoy! ;-)

2019 Fresh Start - on "The Homeplace Saga" stories

2019 Fresh Start - on "The Homeplace Saga" stories

The Novels in “The Homeplace Saga” began with “Back to the Homeplace” set in 1987.

The latest novel in the “Saga” is “Christmas at the Homeplace” which ends in late 1996.

When we went on “New Story Hiatus” for the holidays at the end of 2018, we had three streams working for our readers:

1. The current new series of stories set in 1997, generally posting on Tuesdays - feature Heather Gates… (weekly, free, online)… these stories have continued the “Saga” beyond “Christmas at the Homeplace.”

2. Our newest series of stories back in the 1830s is the Colonel Jake Patton Memoirs… (free, online - mostly weekly, but likely not every week…).

The latest of these was: Jake Patton Memoirs - https://hubpages.com/literature/Jake-Patton-Memoirs-JP3-Jake-Helped-The-Group-Prepare-for-Departure (set in the 1830s). This series builds on earlier short stories in “The Saga” go back into the 19th Century, from 1833, sharing the growth of the families in the early days of Oak Springs.

3. Each Friday, we are posting, for Patrons, the earliest stories from ‘The Founding’ of Oak Springs. These have continued through the holidays for Patrons. Join us, today. By joining, you can read each and all of the past postings on ‘The Founding.’ These postings tell the earliest stories of Oak Springs and the people who lived there in the order these events occurred. You are encouraged to comment on each story, ask questions, and get responses.
